Sir William Browne (died 22 March 1508) was Lord Mayor of London from 1507 until his death.[1] He was the son of John Browne, who was Lord Mayor in 1480.

Browne was a member of the Worshipful Company of Mercers and was knighted in 1489, served as Sheriff of Middlesex and London in 1497 and was elected as an alderman for Cripplegate Ward in 1500. In 1504 he was removed to Lime Street Ward, and in 1507 was chosen as Lord Mayor.[2]

He was buried in the church of St Mary Aldermanbury in the City of London.[1]
