Wanstead Underground Station is on the London Underground Central Line in the London Borough of Redbridge in Wanstead, E11 in Travelcard Zone 4.
History[]
The station opened on the 14 December 1947. The station building, which is designed by Charles Holden which is across the road from The Green. Until 2003, it had a wooden escalator which was one if the last underground stations to do so
