Vivian Walter Hough Bendall (born 14 December 1938) is a British estate agent and politician.

Elected to Croydon Borough Council in 1964 to represent Central Ward, he was re-elected in 1968, 1971 and 1974. He stood down from the borough council at the 1978 election. From 1979-1973 he represented Croydon on the Greater London Council. He did not defend his GLC seat at the 1973 election.

Following two attempts to enter parliament in 1974, he was selected as prospective parliamentary candidate for the Labour Party held marginal seat of Ilford North in 1975. In late 1977 the sitting MP, Millie Miller, died and Bendall was comfortably elected at a by-election in March 1978. He held the seat at the four succeeding general elections before losing the seat in 1997 when there was a Labour landslide victory.
