Rodney Charles Gent (born July 1946) is a former Conservative Party politician.

At the 1968 London Borough elections he won a seat as councillor for Alleyn Ward in the London Borough of Southwark but lost the seat in 1971. At the next London Borough elections in 1974 he was elected to Bromley Council as a councillor for Bromley Common ward.

At the 1973 Greater London Council elections he stood at Wood Green without success. At the next GLC elections in 1977 he was elected as councillor for Sidcup. He held the seat in 1981, remaining a member of the GLC until its abolition in 1986.
