Norman William Farmer (11 October 1901 – 22 December 1971) was a constructional engineer, businessman and Conservative Party politician.
He became a director of S W Farmer & Son Limited, an engineering company founded in Lewisham in 1898 by his father, Sydney William Farmer.
He became active in Conservative politics as Chairman of North Lewisham conservative association in 1946 and Chairman of the London Conservation Union in 1959-60.
In 1949 he was elected to the London County Council to represent Lewisham North and held the seat until the council's abolition in 1965. He was Deputy Chairman of the London County council for 1960-61.
He was a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Founders and a life deacon of Lewisham Congregational Church.[1]
He was awarded the CBE in the 1955 Birthday Honours "for political and public services in Lewisham".[2]
