London South was a constituency that elected a single Member of the European Parliament (MEP). It was created in 1979 and replaced by the larger London South and Surrey East in 1984.

The European constituency was formed by the grouping of eight parliamentary constituencies used for the elections of members of the UK House of Commons: Carshalton, Croydon Central, Croydon North East, Croydon North West, Croydon South, Mitcham and Morden, Sutton and Cheam, Wimbledon.[1]

The seat was held by James Moorhouse of the Conservative Party.
