Lieutenant-Colonel Lenox Prendergast (12 May 1830 - 19 January 1907) was an army officer and educationist.

Educated at Eton College and the University of Oxford, he entered the army as a cornet in the Royal Scots Greys. He rose to the rank of lieutenant-colonel before retiring.

A prominent member of the Roman Catholic community, he was repeatedly elected to the London School Board as a representative of Tower Hamlets from 1879-91.

He died at his residence in South Kensington aged 76, and was buried after requiem mass at Brompton Oratory.
