John Leonard Aston (1921 - 29 April 2013) was a surveyor and Conservative Party politician in the Croydon area.

The son of Leonard Alfred Aston, Mayor of Croydon for 1951-52, and Daisy Ethel née Carrington, he was himself elected to the council of the County Borough of Croydon in 1952 as a councillor representing Central Ward. He remained a member of the council until its abolition in 1965 and served as Mayor of Croydon for 1962-1963.

The County Borough was absorbed into the larger London Borough of Croydon, and Aston was a member of the council for thirty years: as an alderman from 1964-1978 and as a councillor for Fairfield Ward from 1978-1994, when he retired.

He was also a member of the Greater London Council, representing Croydon for two terms from 1964-1970.
