Herbert Stern (28 September 1851 - 7 January 1919), known as Sir Herbert Stern, 1st Baronet, of Strawberry Hill in the Parish of Twickenham and County of Middlesex from July - December 1905 and as Baron Michelham, of Hellingley in the County of Sussex from December 1905 was a financier, race horse breeder, philanthropist and politician.

He was the son of Hermann de Stern, a German-born banker and Julia Goldsmid. His father had been created a Portuguese baron, which he inherited in 1887.

He sat as a Moderate Party alderman on the London County Council from 1907-13.
