Gladys Felicia Dimson (née Sieve) (23 July 1915 - 1999).

Born in Glasgow and educated at Glasgow University and the London School of Economics. In 1936 she married Dr Samuel Dimson in Hampstead.

She was a co-opted member of the Children's Committee of the London County Council. In 1964 the first elections to the Greater London Council, the repacement to the London County Council were held. She was elected a Labour Party councillor to represent Haringey. She lost heat at the 1967 GLC election when the Conservative Party gained control but returned as a councillor for Wandsworth at the 1970 GLC election. With boundary changes she became councillor for Battersea North at the next election in 1973. She remained on the GLC until she resigned on 2 May 1985.

She was very influential in her role as chair of the Housing Development committee 1973-1977 and of Housing from 1981.

At the 1970 General Election she was Labour Party candidate at Hendon South.
