George B Shipton (1839 - October 14, 1911) was a leading trade unionist.

Shipton was secretary of the London Trades Council 1872–96, General Secretary of the Amalgamated London Painters 1873-99, Secretary of the Parliamentary Committee of the TUC 1885-86, General Secretary of the London Trades Council and editor of The Labour Standard 1881-84.

He was briefly a member of the London School Board, co-opted for Finsbury on 18 December 1890, standing down at the next school board elections in 1891.
