George Lampard (22 May 1838 - 26 September 1907) was a businessman and local politician.
Born in Maidstone, Kent, he was the son of Stephen Lampard and Mary Ann née Bristead. George established himself as a grocer and draper in Stone, Kent. In 1858 he married Charlotte Emma Martin from Philadelphia. By 1881 he had moved his business to Deptford. By 1891 he had moved to Clapton Common, Hackney and had become a tea dealer.
He was found dying on the floor of his bedroom with his head near a gas ring and the gas full on. The jury at the inquest recorded a verdict of "accidental death" although the coroner stated that he did not agree.
