Geoffrey Miles Alderton Mowbray (1923-2000).

Born in Kingston upon Thames, the son of Frank Herbert Mowbray, an engineer, and Florence Ethel née Hooper. Served in Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve during World War Two. Resident at Westbourne Terrace, Paddington. Married Shirley Habgood in Bristol in 1945.

Elected as a Conservative Party member of the London County Council to represent Wandsworth, Clapham in 1955, he lost his seat in 1958. He represented the county council on the London and Home Counties Traffic Advisory Committee. From 1956-59 he was a member of Westminster City Council representing Westbourne Ward.
