Sir Frederick Thomas Edridge (1843-3 October 1921) was a local politician active in the Croydon area.

Elected to Croydon Borough Council, where he was the leader of the Conservative Party group. He was five times Mayor of Croydon: in 1890-1, 1891-92, 1894-95, 1895-96 and 1902-3. He was the first honorary freeman of the borough. He was chairman of the Whitgift Foundation, and donated a statue of Archbishop John Whitgift to the town. He also donated a clock and peal of bells to Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment He was knighted in the 1897 New Year's Honours. He was High Sheriff of the County of Surrey for 1909 and Honorary Colonel of the 4th Battalion, Queen's Royal Regiment (West Surrey).

Owned Pollards Hill, which, in 1913, he gave to Croydon Corporation for use as public open space [1]. Memorial here and plaque here
