Frances Hastings (1824 - 1913) was an educationist.
Born in Scotland, she moved to London, and was a resident of Paddington.
In 1882 she was elected a member of the London School Board, one of the representatives of the Tower Hamlets. She took the Moderate Party whip on the board. At the next board elections in 1885 she lost her seat.
In 1897 she again stood for election to the school board as an Independent, but was unsuccessful.
