Fassett Square is a small residential square in Hackney Central,[1] in the London Borough of Hackney, just to the north of Graham Road.
Fassett Square was the inspiration for the set design of BBC’s continuing drama series, EastEnders. The design of ‘Albert Square’ with a central communal garden and terrace houses circling the park’s exterior remains the same as it did when the popular soap first aired.
It was built in the early 1860s on land owned by the Graham family
