David Gordon Laing was a builder and educationist.

A resident of Fulham Road, he was the proprietor of D G Laing & Sons, Ltd, builders, of Duke Street, Adelphi.

In 1891 he was elected as a "Church" or Moderate Party member of the London School Board as one of five representatives of Westminster. He was re-elected in 1894, but was defeated at the 1897 election, when the Progressive Party made a gain of one seat in Westminster.
