Brent and Harrow is a constituency that elects one member of the London Assembly.
The first member was Toby Harris of Labour who was elected with a majority of 4,380 votes over Bob Blackman of the Conservatives. In 2004 Blackman defeated Harris by 4,686 votes. In 2008 a new Labour candidate, Navin Shah, unseated Blackman with a majority of 1,649 votes. Shah held the seat in 2012 by a large majority of 29,796.
