Borehamwood (/ˌbɔərəmˈwʊd/—originally spelt Boreham Wood), is a town in Northwest London, situated 12 miles (19 km) from Charing Cross making it the closest town in Hertfordshire to Central London. It has a population of 28,546. It is within the civil parish of Elstree and Borehamwood and the London commuter belt. There is one weekly newspaper, the Borehamwood and Elstree Times. The town is perhaps most well known for its film and TV studios, commonly known as Elstree Film Studios, hence the association with Elstree.

Served by Elstree & Borehamwood Station and various buses.
