Ashford Vincent Clarke (1883-1 April 1939) was an engineer and local politician active in the Battersea area.

Born in Somerset, he became an Associate Member of the Institute of Civil Engineers and a Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers in 1913, he moved to London. From the early 1930s he was a member of Battersea Borough Council originally as a councillor and later as an alderman.

From 1931-34 he was a Municipal Reform Party Member of the London County Council representing Battersea North. He was active in the Conservative Party as a leading member of the North Battersea Conservative Association, and attended a number of national conferences of the party before the Second World War.
