Arthur George Edwards was a Labour Party politician.

At the first election of the Greater London Council in 1964 he unsuccessfully stood at Croydon. Although not elected, he became a member of the GLC at its first meeting as an alderman, serving until 1967. At the next GLC election in 1967 the Conservative Party took control and Edwards was not re-elected to the aldermanic benches. In 1970 he returned to the GLC when he was elected as a councillor representing Hammersmith. He did not stand for re-election in 1973.

He also stood for election to Croydon Borough Council in 1964 at Shirley Ward, again without success.
