Alfred Walton was a trade unionist and politician.
General Secretary of the National Amalgamated Coal Workers' Union, at the 1918 General Election he ran as Independent Labour Party candidate at Shoreditch, finishing in third place. In 1922 he was elected to the London County Council as a Labour Party councillor representing Shoreditch and held the seat until 1931.
